living in the past.

what remains of us after we die?

Some say that people are only truly dead when no one remembers them. But what happens when from generation to generation more and more is forgotten? In everything that we leave behind, a piece of us remains. Be it a photograph of a person from yesteryear that can no longer pose for us, or a yellowed diary of someone from an earlier century, the illustration project seeks answers, depicts how living in the past is visualized, and stays forever in our memory.

„Living in the Past“ was, amongst others, part of an exhibition at Johanneskirche Düsseldorf, named „YOLO, young people show their views on death and life“.
